This course focuses on theoretic topics including equilibrium statistical mechanics, kinetic theory, collisions and transport, chemical thermodynamics and kinetics, and laser spectroscopy.

The course will teach students to apply the First and Second Laws of thermodynamics to systems and introduce applications of thermodynamics in an engineering setting.
